Circle Line Rocks a New Boat

New York - NY Get ready for luxury. The revitalization of lower Manhattan is spreading towards the water as one of New York's top attraction providers, Circle Line, not only celebrates its 50th Anniversary this July but introduces a new luxury liner to coincide with the occasion. Circle Line is pleased to present the Zephyr, an opulent nautical vehicle that is sure to become a destination in itself. The launch of the Zephyr is the brainchild of the company's two third-generation owners, Kevin Moran and J.B. Meyer, and is sure to breathe fresh life and add a different look to downtown New York.

The name for Circle Line's latest addition to New York means "gentle breeze", but Zephyr's origins can be traced to Greek mythology's "God of the West Wind". Taking approximately nine months to build, the 143-foot catamaran is considered an accomplishment in both design and technology and offers the ultimate experience in quality. The $7 million vessel can operate in just four and a half feet of water as well as travel at speeds of up to thirty knots. This allows for a smooth and speedy ride and, as a defining factor of luxury, the ability for guests to designate where they want to go.

Constructed by an eighty-member team, the Zephyr can accommodate up to 600 people and offers three levels to delight and entertain guests. From simple to full-fledged fabulous, each tier cohesively caters to individual tastes and moods. On the sun deck, patrons can lounge on plush cushions and enjoy unparalleled views of the Manhattan skyline while mid-deck, guests are presented with a gorgeous mahogany bar and flexible indoor or outdoor seating areas. Finally, the main deck-- with its ten plasma screens, large dance floor and glass atrium-- ensure that beauty and entertainment are always at hand.

As one of the top attractions in New York City, Circle Line has met the needs and demands for a variety of occasions. Whether providing tourists with a first-time visit to Ellis Island or corporations with a unique special event, Circle Line's versatility is impressive. Some notable past events include Talk Magazine's launch party, the premiere of X-Men, a NYC 2012 summer Olympic committee fund raiser and the volunteer efforts of Circle Line on 9/11.

The development of the luxury line for the Zephyr demonstrates Circle Line's commitment to the rebuilding of Lower Manhattan and the revitalization of New York Harbor. Upcoming plans for the company as a whole incorporate private commuter runs, a New Jersey expansion, a holiday harbor tour and harbor charters.
